Ramón Sosa cumplió su sueño de debutar en el fútbol inglés, lo hizo ante las Urracas de su compañero en la selección paraguaya, "Miggy" e incluso tuvieron varios enfrentamientos por la misma banda, ya que el ex Talleres arrancó por izquierda y el 10 de la Albirroja lo hizo por derecha.

El oriundo de Maracaná se mostró muy participativo con y sin pelota, más allá de que al Forest le costó bastante generar fútbol, sobre todo al principio del partido.

Newcastle se puso en ventaja rápidamente al minuto de partido a través de Joseph Willock,  quien luego salió lesionado a los 15'. Por su parte, el equipo de Sosa igualó el encuentro en el minuto 50 por intermedio de Jota Silva.

Como dato relevante, el paraguayo se encargó de las pelotas en su equipo, demostrando que le tienen confianza a su gran pegada e incluso estuvo cerca de meter una gran asistencia.

Finalmente, el ex Olimpia se retiró al minuto 69, dejando buenas sensaciones, por entrega, velocidad y una correcta toma de decisión en la mayoría de las ocasiones, a pesar de los nervios que pudo significar un debut tan importante como este.

El partido finalizó 1-1 en los 90´, pero en los penales, fue victoria 4-3 del Newcastle.
